The Luminescence works are abstract paintings that offer the viewer 2 versions - 1 for regular daytime viewing, and the second for nighttime viewing, mimicking the luminescent light that appears in nature such as starlight or phosphorescence in the oceans. The paintings you see above are actually the same piece under controlled lighting. These are 2 paintings on one canvas.

To illuminate the piece, the artwork is lit by UV lights such as these ones. Lighting is not included, but I will work with you to have the lights installed in your current lighting system or as external lighting units, such as track lights. Prices for the UV light units range from $50 and up, depending on the size of your artwork, and the option that you select. This is discussed during a consult.

These paintings are very special to me, and are most often collected by people who like a fully immersive art experience. I create them with the intention to completely transform the spaces they are in, while leaving a palpable impression on the people who experience them.

2023- I was recently commissioned by the (now retired) lead scientist of the Canadian Space Agency to complete 2 Space paintings for his new home (larger one was a 7’ x 5’ painting).
